John Harris

John Harris

Hello, I’m John Harris, the voice and Mazer behind Harris Meadery. I’m one of those types of guys that’s championed craft brewing and craft beverages for most of my adult life. I’m a mead nerd. There, I said it…. and now you know it. I feel so relieved. I’ve been brewing since 1991 and making meads since 2001 and I hope that you enjoy the fruits of my labor.

I created this website as a place where I can toot my horn about my passion, making quality award winning mead and honey wine. This is the nexus for finding our brand of meads and a point of contact where you can reach out to us with any questions you may have.  If you’re looking to enjoy some of my delicious meads & honey wines,  I can point you in the right direction.   If you’re a vendor and would like to carry our products, in Florida please reach out to Cavalier Distributing and in Georgia reach out to R&R Beverage.

Missy Harris

Missy Harris

This is my love, my muse, my Wife Melissa Harris. Missy owns and manages her own restaurant in the Orange Park, Florida area. Melissa’s restaurant is the recipient of several awards for excellence and sales in food service and has held an “A” rating since 1979. Missy attended Orange Park high school (class of 1986) and loves and supports our family (especially our two children) in every way. Melissa is also an award winning photographer and you can see several of her images featured on our website.

Amanda & Amelia

Amanda & Amelia

These are our two kids, Amanda and Amelia. Amanda is our oldest and she’s off at college pursuing her undergraduate degree in her junior year, studying to be an occupational therapist. When home, we enlist her help in the meadery which is always greatly appreciated, learning the art of brewing and packaging with hands on training. Amelia is our little spitfire of energy who enjoys chasing her Mother and Father around the meadery and generally distracting us with the innocent joy of youth and her unabashed cuteness. Our blessings are many and they motivate us to do what we do. We love our little ones and they keep us young.
